This policy explains what Gearnalysis collects and how it is used. The short version: we do not ask you to create an account, and we do not collect your name, email, or payment details. We use standard analytics to understand which pages are useful, and affiliate links that may set a cookie when you click them.
What we collect
Analytics. We use Google Analytics (GA4) to see aggregate, anonymized usage, such as pages viewed, general location (country or region), and device and browser type. This helps us improve the site. It is not used to identify you.
Affiliate cookies. When you click a buy link, the retailer affiliate network (for example, Amazon Associates) may set a cookie so that a resulting purchase is credited to us. We do not receive your name or payment information from these purchases.
Server logs. Our host records standard technical logs, such as IP address, timestamp, and the page requested, for security and reliability.
Cookies and your choices
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics using Google's browser add-on. Blocking cookies will not break the site.
Your rights (GDPR and CCPA)
If you are in the EU, UK, or California, you have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data held about you, and we do not sell personal data. Because we do not collect data that identifies you directly, most requests concern the analytics and affiliate cookies described above.
Third parties
We rely on Google Analytics, our hosting provider, and affiliate networks. Each has its own privacy policy governing the data it processes.
