Gearnalysis

Outdoor gear, ranked by the data

Gearnalysis ranks outdoor gear on published specs, not opinions. Every product is one sourced record, scored on warmth, weight, packed size, and price by a transparent algorithm you can re-weight yourself. The ranking sits right in the page before you touch a slider. There are no sponsored placements, and when a spec isn’t published we mark it that way instead of guessing.

How the ranking works

GearScore blends the specs that decide a category. First it gates, so a product has to be good enough to belong on the list before it can rank at all. Then it scores what’s left on the trade-offs that matter. Everything comes from manufacturer-published data with the source recorded, and it re-sorts the moment you change what you care about. That’s the point of it: data, not opinions.
